John Azouz, Mathew Winward and Eifion Redmond have completed an incredible 3 day, 300 mile, sponsored bike ride, raising over £5000 MNDA Cheshire Branch.
John's Mum, Vivienne, is living with MND and he is all too aware of what support his mum receives from the association and her local Cheshire Branch and wanted to give something back and to help support others.
Vivienne is extremely proud of them all, raising awareness and funds for the association, as the support she has received from the association has been integral since her diagnosis.
Originally the challenge was going to be completed in line with Liverpool playing Brighton Hove Albion, which they hoped might get media coverage. Sadly, due to COVID restrictions it had to be postponed. However, post travel restrictions being eased and the team not deterred by the delay, they smashed this testing challenge. At times during the ride they were 2200 feet above sea level and burning a whopping 7000 calories per day!
John, Viv and the team would like to thank everyone that sponsored them and special thanks to Andrew Devine, their mechanic, chef, hotel Porter and support vehicle driver!
Huge thanks from Cheshire branch too - what an incredible achievement.
